SEVILLA
FERIA DE ABRIL DE SEVILLA
I danced flamenco for more than 10 years of my life and learned from the greatest flamenco figuras from Seville, Granada and Germany. So it's no wonder that Seville has a very special aura for me. Here the cultures of the Orient and Arabia meet the culture of Spain and the Gitanos, the gypsies of Andalusia. Anyone who knows me knows how much this is connected to me. For me, Seville is the most beautiful city in Europe, only Venice could keep up.
If you travel to Seville, you should go to the Feria de Abril, because then the city has a very special flair, because everyone walks through the city all day in flamenco dresses and outfits, which makes the street scene even more enchanting. In the evening you should go to the Feria, in and in front of the tents people dance Sevillanas everywhere, a folklore that has been flamencotized. If you like Spanish food, you will of course find tapas restaurants everywhere in the city.
What else is there to see in Seville?
Plaza de Torres, the bullring of Seville. You can still see bullfighters in action here today. Since this is not for everyone, as bullfighting is now very frowned upon and animal cruelty is frowned upon, you can also visit the arena like a museum.
The oriental royal palace Alcazar from the times of Al Andaluz as Andalusia in Arabic looks like the palaces of Marrakesh
and is worth a visit.
Plaza de Espana, a beautiful fairytale place built in 1929 with a river, gondolas, horse-drawn carriages and live music.
